About the Bermuda Piano Festival
The Festival was launched in 2017 by the Bermuda School of Music in collaboration with Alex Tuchman, as its Artistic Director. We are a not-for-profit venture whose mission is to further enrich Bermuda’s cultural landscape by presenting world-class performers in engaging programmes and to provide opportunities for BSM’s piano students to learn from and interact with the Festival artists. In addition to the concerts, master classes and private lessons during the Festival period, the Festival provides a minimum of $5,000 per annum to the Bursary Fund of the Bermuda School of Music, which proceeds are used for financial assistance to select students. What distinguishes the Festival from other festivals in Bermuda is its focus on the piano and the diverse repertoire which has been composed for the instrument. In addition, we believe that we are Bermuda’s only music festival that offers concerts that are free and open to the public.
